WatsonLovers! was started by three mutual friends one snowy day in February, 2009. The three were brought together by their unhealthy Harry Potter obsession and their love of Emma's style, poise, classiness and oh, did we mention we love her accent?

We had virtually watched Emma grow up before our eyes as we pre-ordered tickets to all the movies. Then, one day, something happened. Emma grew up. We saw her transform before our eyes into a together young woman. It was then the obsession was fully maximized! After being a dedicated fan for almost TEN YEARS, we finally decided to put our passion together into one site. The product is what you see before you.

The next step was figuring out our site name. Um, what should it be? We seriously considered PotterFans, WeHeartPotter, PotterLove, etc. etc. etc. We went in circles for a good two days. Then, Kate thought of the perfect name...WatsonLovers. It seems like the most obvious choice because this was an Emma site, but Kate thought we should expand it to Harry Potter news as well. PotterLovers just didn't roll off the tongue as well as WatsonLovers...to us anyway.

Then, Ellan designed our layout. She wanted it clean and simple and a place for easy reference. *drumroll* Here is Version 1! We love it, don't you?
